Finishing is what separates a functional component from an exceptional piece. It is the last visible stage, the one that determines the perceived quality of the finished product and the first thing a customer sees in the boutique. Termin'Hor SA has made it its core business since day one.
Our finishing workshop in Vernier, Geneva, works on the full range of watch external components: case middles, bezels, case backs, bracelets, links, buckles, crowns and case elements. We work with every material used in haute horlogerie: gold (yellow, white, rose), platinum, stainless steel, titanium and special alloys.
Finishing techniques we master
Watch finishing covers a set of complementary techniques, often combined on a single piece to create the surface contrasts characteristic of high-end watches:
- Mirror polishing: a perfectly reflective surface, free of any micro-scratch
- Satin finishing: a directional matt finish by brushing or abrasive grinding, on flanks and flat surfaces as well as curved surfaces
- Perlage a pattern of overlapping concentric circles, decorating internal surfaces
- Sandblasting: matting of defined surfaces by abrasive projection. Several grades of media available
Integrated or standalone finishing
Termin'Hor SA offers two ways of working:
- Integrated service: your pieces are machined in-house,then finished in the same workshop continuous flow, optimised lead times, single point of responsibility
- Standalone finishing: you entrust us with already manufactured pieces for the finishing operations only
In both cases, our team analyses the constraints of the piece beforehand: geometry, material, expected level of finish to determine the optimal finishing sequence. Every finished component undergoes a visual inspection under controlled lighting and a dimensional check before delivery.
